This week we just sit and talk random nerdy stuff that comes to us. No real plan, just good nerd conversation. We talk about comics, movies, Marvel TV shows, streaming services, music, Ren Fest, and so much more.
This week we felt it necessary to touch on the recent mass shootings and the impact the almost constant news of acts like these have on everyone. We do bring it back to our normal nerdy talk. We talk about the Amazon Prime show The Boys (no spoilers). We discuss the trailers for a couple of shows coming up at the beginning of the next month; Titans, and Carnival Row, both of which look great. We also get into the incredible news and rumors surrounding the Arrowverse, Crisis On Infinite Earth.
This week we are coming down from all the excitement of SDCC and into the nerd news void that always follows. But if there is one thing we’re good at it’s finding things to talk about. We discuss the death of Rutger Hauer and some of our favorite movies of his. We take a look at the trailer for Zombieland Double Tap. We also talk a bit about the new Hellboy movie, as well as the new Amazon Prime Original series; The Boys. We wrap things up by discussing this week’s big convention; GenCon.
This week we talk in depth about everything we heard and saw coming out of the 2019 San Diego Comic Con. Marvel, Dc, HBO, Arrowverse, Picard, and more. So much great nerdy stuff came out we didn’t have much time for for anything else.
Here there be spoilers! We get into an in depth discussion about Spider-Man: Far From Home and there are spoilers. We also do some non-spoiler talking about Stranger Things season 3. We discuss a few upcoming movies and recent trailers. We also talk a little about some movies that just came out, or soon will be coming, to Blu-ray. We touch on the very limited information about what might get announced at SDCC this weekend.
This week we discuss the criticism Netflix is getting for the smoking on Stranger Things. We also talk about the Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance voice cast. Chris gives his spoiler free review of Spider-Man: Far From Home, while Russ let’s a small spoiler out. We also get into the news of the new WarnerMedia streaming service, HBO Max, and have a brief discussion about the new Disney Mulan teaser trailer.
This week we are joined by not one, but two lovely and talented ladies, Renee and Alexandra. We talk movies, Spiderman: Far From Home, Knives Out, and Jumanji: The Next Level. We get into TV, including upcoming Netflix shows. We discuss comics and some big news about one specific, very popular book. Overall a really fun episode, and a big thanks to our guests for hanging with us in the Nerd Basement.
Happy Thursday! This week we talk about a lot of video games. We discuss the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and the gameplay video that was released. We get into the new Niantic mobile device game, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. We also talk about the Steam Sale that just started. We also take a look at one of the new TV trailers for Spiderman: Far From Home. We finish the show up with something we’ve been wanting to talk about for quite a while, traumatic childhood movies.
This week we talk about some of the game announcements that came out of E3. We discuss the preview we saw for a new Science Channel show, “Savage Builds.” We discuss some of the sequel disappointments at the box office this summer. We talk again about TV shows and falling behind again with even more coming out. We also have our usual digressions that take us places we don’t expect.
With E3 starting up and all the announcements the weekend before the conference we spend a good chunk of the show talking about everything we’ve heard so far. We also discuss some news items that have come up, along with some movie and TV stories.
