We are going on four years and we’re still learning things, especially about video now. This was not our best video podcast, and was fraught with technical issues. Luckily, the audio was just fine. We have a great time talking about all sorts of pop culture topics this week. Streaming, movies, TV, and video games, we cover it all.
You guessed it this week is all about Comic-Con@Home that happened over the weekend. There is so much to talk about. We discuss several of the panels, including New Mutants, Stumptown, What We Do In The Shadows, and more. We do discuss a few things from outside of the con as well.
This week we discuss how the Coronavirus has now delayed yet another show, Falcon and The Winter Soldier. We also talk about streaming services and shows moving around, as well as the brand new service. We also talk a little bit about the upcoming Star Trek animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks. There is also a lot of news about the virtual Comic Con that will be happening this week.
This week we discuss the multiple celebrity deaths that happened this week. We also talk about some of what is going on in the world. As always we talk a lot of pop culture/nerd news. We discuss the newly announced Disney+ Star Wars animated series, The Bad Batch. We talk about the release of the new Dresden Files book, Peace Talks, as well as comic book and video game news.
This week we talk about a lot of pop culture news, including the death threats and other horrible tweets that people have sent to Laura Bailey because of her performance in the Last Of Us Part 2. We also ask if, for artist that actually do something horrible, are you still allowed to like or enjoy their work, or does it all need to disappear. We also discuss DC Fandome, what SDCC is going to be doing, and the announcement of a Fallout TV series.
This week we fight with some technical issues, but get through them. We also talk about the passing of Carl Reiner and his long career. We get into Anthony Mackie calling out Marvel Studios for a lack of inclusion. We also talk about music videos, new hobbies, and comic book news. At one point the debate about the last three Star Wars movies comes up again.
This week we talk a little bit about what is going on in the world. Then we get into the nerdy stuff. We say goodbye to some Hollywood legends. Talk about the idea of an old Batman making a return to the big screen. We also get into some video game news, including the huge opening weekend for The Last of Us Part II.
This week Chris gets frustrated with some technical difficulties, that are solved after only a couple of minutes. Once that is done the show goes on to talk about all sorts of nerdy goodness; video games, PS5 news, virtual fan events, comic books, and more.
This week we talk more about the social unrest in the United States. We also get into comic book, movie, and nerdy news. We also talk about the Mandalorian, and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. Remember to love each other. Watch out for each other. And record everything.
The world is going to hell and we need to talk about it. We talk about the civil unrest and the murder of George Floyd because it needs to be talked about, everywhere. We can’t keep letting this go on in our country. The show isn’t all serious discussion though, as we do get into some nerdy topics for most of it. Remember to love each other. Remember to take care of each other. Remember that we’re all in this together.
