This week we live stream our show for the second time. We talk about Westworld, the new Marvel movie timeline, more entertainment delays due to Covid-19, and so much more. This week we try something new; live streaming on Twitch. It was a lot of fun and it was really cool to get to interact with some of our fans. We talked more about how Covid-19 is affecting the nerd world, from more movie delays, to changing comic book releases, to a surge in online D&D games. We also discussed the new Netflix phenom, Tiger King. We finished the show off with the last episode of Picking Apart Picard, as we cover the last two episodes of season one. This week we welcome Russ home but are still practicing social distancing thanks to Covid-19. We talk about the big announcement from Jim Butcher regarding the Dresden Files. We get into some comic book news and how the virus is affecting that industry, as well as how it is affecting the movies. A couple of Mandalorian casting announcements. We finish things up with Picking Apart Picard, episode 8.

Hey everyone. What else is there to talk about right now than the COVID-19, the Coronavirus. It sucks!! It is affecting everyone in some way. We hope all of you are staying healthy and taking the necessary precautions (not hording toilet paper). We hope that we can continue to bring some more light hearted entertainment to you as we all work together to get through this dark time. Stay safe! Slainte!

This week we discuss alcohol but also marijuana, now that it’s been legalized for recreational use in our home state. We also talk about the new trailer for the New Mutants movie. We discuss video games, including God of War. We talk about Altered Carbon and the new animated series coming to Netflix. And we finish the show off as we have for several weeks now, with the sixth edition of Picking Apart Picard.

This week we talk about the C2E2 convention held in Chicago last weekend. We talk TV news about the Magicians and Castlevania. We touch on the trailer for the new Sony Animation movie “Connected.” We get into a discussion about the upcoming “Rise Of Skywalker” novelization. And of course we finish things off with the fifth edition of Picking Apart Picard.

This week there is so much to talk about. We discuss the Harley Davidson powered Green Machine that takes us back to our childhood. We talk about Baldur’s Gate 3 and other video games. We dive into DC comics and movie news. We also get into movies, books, and D&D. Then finish the show off with our fourth installment of Picking Apart Picard.

This week we talk about what constitutes a flop at the box office, and does Birds Of Prey qualify. We also talk about the success of the Sonic The Hedgehog opening weekend. We talk about the new Batsuit for the upcoming movie, The Batman. We go off on a few tangents, quelle surprise. We do come back around to do the third installment of Picking Apart Picard.

Russ made it to Florida, so this week he joins us via the interwebs.  We talk about the latest micro-fiction from Jim Butcher.  We discuss the Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey opening weekend.  Spend some time on various articles and things we’ve found on the internet.  Then we finish things off with “Picking Apart Picard” discussing episode two.

This is the last episode with Russ in the Nerd Basement for a couple of months. But don’t worry he will still be joining us remote from Florida. This week we discuss the death of Kobe Bryant. We talk a little bit about the new HBO series Avenue 5. We talk about a new line of action figures. And then we finish things off with our new segment; Picking Apart Picard, where we discuss the latest episode of the CBS All Access show Star Trek: Picard.
