This week we are joined by not one, but two special guests to fill in for Russ while work keeps him away from us. We talk about D&D, including being a first time Dungeon Master. We discuss movies, both that we’ve seen and what we haven’t. We talk about video games, including the new consoles and games coming out this week. We also get into some Mandalorian talk, but try to stay away from episode 2 spoilers. Thank you to our guests, Renee and Pete, for joining us in the Nerd Basement again. It was a blast as always.

This week’s episode was recorded on Election Night 2020. We talked a little bit about that, but also got into episode one of Mandalorian season two. We talked about Star Trek: Discovery. We mourned the passing of a film legend. We briefly discussed Critical Role, and also get into D&D. Thank you to everyone for four great years, and here’s to the many more. Slainte!

This week we celebrate our 200th episode. Can’t believe we’ve made it this long. Thank you so much to everyone watching/listening. This week we talk about Mandalorian season 2 debuting this Friday. We talk about the new console game systems scheduled to come out in just a couple of weeks, as well as a number of video games coming out before, or in tandem with these new consoles. We also discuss a sequel TV show coming to the Peacock, as well as the first images from the second season of Batwoman.

This we have Russ back in the Basement with us and we talk about a lot of things that are coming soon. We talk about movies, TV shows, video games, and game systems that will be coming out soon. Among the things we talk about are the Borat and Willow sequels, the D&D Cookbook, Dexter returning, and Playstation 5 along with some of the games. We also have a list of the 5 TV shows we would tell someone to watch to get to know what we liked.

This week we have a special guest host you might recognize from previous episodes or Tavern Knights. We get into a lot of topics, including touching on the psychological and anthropological studies that are being done during this global pandemic. We also talk about movie sequels that write out previous movies in the series. We discuss Avatar the Last Airbender a little bit. We also talk some D&D, Warhammer, and painting miniatures.

This week we talk quite a bit about current events from the first presidential debate, to the news that the president and first lady along with several others contracted Covid. We do get into some nerdy business though, and discuss the new Star Wars: Squadrons game. We talk about some current TV, as well as news about the new Game of Thrones prequel. Plus a whole lot more.

This week we say goodbye to an amazing woman, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. We then get into a bunch of nerdy stuff. We talk about the sunset on DC Universe. The WandaVision trailer is out, and we discuss that. We talk about the rumor that WotC is going to bring back at least three old campaign settings for D&D next year, as well as the PS5 announcement and pre-order mess up. Plus so much more.

This week we celebrate Chris’ birthday while talking nerdy. We discuss the new Mandalorian season 2 trailer. We talk about the new Xbox and Playstation consoles and what we’ve now heard regarding prices. Now that Russ is starting to catch up on Critical Role we talk about how Laura Bailey won D&D in one of their episodes. All this and so much more, you don’t want to miss it.

This week we recorded on a special day due to Chris having his sports nerd event on the usual recording day. We discuss a lot of nerd stuff this week, including the latest Black Panther rumors, some new shows we are patching on Prime and HBO Max, and what is happening for Star Trek Day. Chris built a new computer and that appears to have seriously helped with the streaming issues from the last couple of weeks. This week we talk about the untimely death of Chadwick Boseman. We also discuss the news from Kenosha, Wisconsin. We also get into some tech talk about the newly announced graphics cards from Nvidia. Plus comics, alcohol, and plenty more nerd ramblings.
